How are coaching sessions done?
Sessions are done using Zoom for video calls with my clients. The mobile app works great, and desktop versions are also available. I start off by getting to know you, your situation, and your goals. It’s a conversation, not a lecture, and is not to be considered therapy by a licensed therapist. I’m a coach, guide, mentor, guru, teacher, whatever you want to call it. I listen, ask and answer questions, and use my experience and intuition to guide me on what will serve my client best. I love questions, so ask me anything!
How do I purchase a session?
You can purchase and schedule your session using the secure booking form on this page. Sessions are available individually or as a monthly subscription package that includes email support.
What’s the difference between the individual sessions and the monthly subscriptions?
Sometimes you just want to schedule one session every now and then and other times you want a consistent schedule. There are benefits to both. The coaching subscriptions are cheaper per session and offer email support. Your subscription allows you to schedule multiple sessions per month. If you need more, you can always purchase an individual session if available. Generally I find that twice a month for at least three months is a nice sweet spot for both of us.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can manage your subscriptions using the link provided in each email. This page allows you to cancel your subscription which will stop the subscription and not charge you again. From here, you can also view all of your past payments, and update the credit card on file. Refunds are not given for unused sessions. Read more about my cancellation policy.
What do I need to prepare for my session?
Write down your primary goal for the session and whatever questions or topics you’d like covered. Download and install the Zoom app for your mobile device or desktop computer. Test your microphone and camera in the Zoom app prior to joining the call. If you’re going to be on video, try to find a space with good lighting.
Can I use my phone?
If you have a smart phone, the Zoom app works pretty well. But if you have a circumstance where Zoom isn’t an option, we can arrange a standard phone call instead.
What if I’m late to the call?
It’s generally good practice to have a window of 5 minutes before/after the start time. If you’re more than 10 minutes late, I will cancel the session and we will need to reschedule.
Do you offer recordings of the session?
Not by default, but I can record the session and send you a link to download the video for a small fee.
